Product of Hand Me Downs, the new album by Michael Kayne, is full of the uninhibited and the unexpected. His compositions have the complexity of classical music, mixed with the energizing influence of modern beats. As a bonus, there are two tracks added at the end of the album that deviate from the others. These songs feature Michael’s poetic form of lyricism as he reveals political and personal topics with passion that is hard to ignore. Whereas the first twelve tracks allow the listener to interpret what Kayne’s message is, the last two are packed full of rhymes that leave images in your mind for days. Michael breaks free of the limitations of genre and labels and creates music from the heart that both inspires and enlightens.
